On December 4th, the Welcome Centre of TBU hosted a heartwarming Christmas meetup for international students, staff, and their families. The event, held in the 2nd Floor lobby of the U13 Rectorate/Library building, was a wonderful success, bringing together people from around the world in a festive celebration of the season.
The event was designed to offer a relaxed, inclusive atmosphere for everyone in the TBU international community. From 16:00 to 20:00, attendees were greeted with various free non-alcoholic drinks, along with vegetarian and non-vegetarian finger foods. The space was adorned with Christmas decorations.
In addition to international degree and exchange students and staff from TBU, the meetup was joined by Czech language students and members from the Center for Support of Integration of Foreigners. The event’s motto, “Christmas as a Common Language,” embodied the spirit of cultural exchange, as participants shared their unique holiday traditions, from Christmas celebrations to other seasonal customs from their home countries. Many took part in fun, interactive activities, such as decorating Christmas cookies and making handmade decorations. Several attendees contributed their own festive food, enriching the celebration with dishes from their home countries.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and made this event possible. We look forward to more events like this in the future. Happy holidays to all! 🎄🎉
