We were very happy to welcome more than 100 new exchange students at our university to provide them with a warm welcome and thorough orientation. On their first day at university, each new student received a welcome package and introduction to university presentation was given in order to provide students with information regarding all practicalities (student cards, administration, public transport, foreign police registration etc.) The week is continuing with a special program – “Welcome Week” organized by Buddy System Zlín. Students can look forward to playing ice-breaking games, visiting interesting places in Zlín and attending many social events. Already before the new students arrive at TBU in Zlín, they have the possibility to get in touch with their Czech buddy, a Czech volunteer student from our university, who is happy to help with any practical issues, pick the new exchange student at the train or bus station and stay in touch during the whole semester.
