Tomas Bata University in Zlín is involved in the preparation of a project focused on strategic cooperation in the field of education, science and research in the framework of the European University initiative supported by the European Commission. The goal of this initiative is to strengthen and structure cooperation between higher education institutions across the EU and to develop a new generation of Europeans who can work in different cultural environments.
The “Sustainable Horizons” project, coordinated by the University of Algarve in Portugal, brings together seven universities from different geographical regions of Europe (Czech Republic, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Romania, Germany and Finland). All the universities will aim to promote the strengthening of the European identity, to encourage excellence and to enhance the competitiveness of European higher education institutions. The results of the second call in which TBU participated will be known in July 2020.
